ISCC-PLUS certificate

Kornelis Caps & Closures has recently obtained the ISCC-PLUS - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification - meaning the company is ready to respond to the increasing demand for closures made of renewable feedstock and renewable raw materials.

Obtaining the certificate is Kornelis' latest step forward in its path toward sustainability. The packaging manufacturer is committed to doing as much as possible to evolve into a truly circular business and fulfill its green strategy. A challenge not easy to overcome, as the food packaging industry presents a series of difficulties, requiring the development of packs that don't compromise the health of end consumers, yet remain functional and environmentally friendly.

Kornelis has achieved its goal. The certificate guarantees the material used in the manufacturing process comes from sustainable sources and that the supply chains are fully traceable. Customers can use the company's certified closures to demonstrate compliance with specific legislation, such as England's requirement of packaging containing a minimum of 30% recycled material.
