Kornelis welcomes three brand-new injection molding machines

Last Wednesday 21 May was a special day for us. We received three brand-new Sumitomo DEMAG injection molding machines from Thiele&Kor Plastics Machinery. This is a big step forward for innovation and sustainability. At the same time, we said goodbye to an old hydraulic injection molding machine that ran for an impressive 116,787 hours. That machine made an amazing 373,718,400 caps and closures using an eight-cavity mold.

Early in the morning, our technical team used a crane to carefully take out the old machine and put the new ones in their place. Safety, care, and teamwork made sure everything went smoothly. In the next few weeks, we will get the new machines ready to start production. Each machine will also get a robot. These new machines fit well with our plan to produce more efficiently and help the environment.
